PRACTICE COMMUNICATION POLICY

Please be advised this is a PRIVATE PRACTICE and patient consultations charges are at the discretion of the doctor. 

Consultations are normally arranged by appointment (except for Saturday mornings when patients are seen in the order or arrival or emergency). Patients wishing to have medicals or detailed forms completed by their doctor require a longer appointment, please inform reception staff if you require a longer appointment. 


The surgery can not always accommodate an appointment with the Doctor of your choice unless made in advance. Urgent cases will be directed to the Emergency Department at the Cowra Hospital. 


We feel it is important that you become familiar with at least two Doctors within the Practice for times when your Doctor of choice isn’t available.

We recommend that you renew appointments prior to leaving the Medical Centre 

EXPRESS LANE

We run an express lane each morning Monday-Saturday which requires patients to present to the surgery each morning 8am when the doors open, Doctors will see patients in order of arrival (please note depending on GP's this is also limited).

HOME VISITS

We're safe and reasonable, Kendal Street Medical Services makes visits to regular practice patients in their home within and outside of normal working hours. 

 

Home visits may be performed by the patient's regular treating doctor where they are deemed appropriate by the doctor. 

The practice requests that patients discuss with practice staff and their treating doctor about the provision of home visits. If appropriate, home visits times will be arranged by the doctor with the patient. 

Telehealth Appointments 

Our Practice does offer Telehealth Appointments you will be required to call the practice to arrange this.

Please note: Medicare rules state that a patient must have had a Face to Face consultation with a Doctor within our practice in the last 12 months & they will require to sign a consent form which is located at the front desk of the practice or on our website in the "Recourses tab"
